Home Visits

We prefer to see patients in the Surgery for the simple reason of time and facilities. We can see five patients in the Surgery in the same time needed for one home visit, and the facilities, instruments, testing equipment, assistance etc... are all more readily available.

If your condition is such that you cannot attend the Surgery, please try and request a visit by 10.30am to help the doctors plan their working day.

Out of Hours

The Surgery premises are open from 8.00am until 6.00pm or whenever the last patient leaves, whichever is the later. The exceptions to this are at Tangmere, which closes for lunch each day between 1.15 - 2.15, and closes at 4pm on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.

Between 6.30pm and 8.00am, and all weekend, your healthcare becomes the responsibility of Western Sussex Primary Care Trust. They have employed West Sussex Doctors on Call to provide this service, and they can be contacted on:-

Emergency Surgeries in the evenings and weekends are to be held at the Fracture Clinic, adjoining the A&E Department at St Richard's. These emergency surgeries, for which you must ring the above number beforehand to arrange an appointment time, are for urgent matters that cannot wait for your own surgery to re-open.
